Community Policy

Community is central to our mission. Our members utilize our community spaces to find inspiration, exchange ideas, share knowledge, and form connections.

Overview:

This policy is a part of our Terms of Use. By using any of our community spaces, you agree to follow this policy and our Terms of Use.

 

The goals of our community are to assist members in their personal and professional pursuits, to help maintain and develop friendships and connections, to build strong and mutually beneficial ties, to promote goodwill, to stimulate interest and the generation of knowledge, and knowledge sharing through increased opportunities for engagement. To meet these goals, it’s important for us all to feel that we are in a safe place. Hence, we request that you read and adhere to the guidelines presented below.

 

Guidelines:

  • Treat others online as you want to be treated by others

  • Respect integrity, privacy, and the personal information of others

  • Be tolerant and democratic - when other´s opinions do not align with yours disagree respectfully

  • Display courtesy and respect through both behavior and communication

Please DO NOT:

  • Make personal attacks on other community members

  • Bully or make inflammatory remarks to and on other community members

  • Use prejudiced comments or profanity

  • Post defamatory remarks or make false statements

 

1. Using Our Community

Our community spaces are public areas where members can interact with one another. To make sure that Our community spaces are and remain to be a safe place, welcoming, and respectful for all, you agree to comply with the below in all community spaces:

 

Don't use Our community spaces to encourage others to violate Our policies.

 

Use the forum, direct messaging, and email responsibly.  Messaging opportunities and the email are tools intended to simplify connections between one another, to help facilitate networking, and to promote common interests. Prohibited activities through these channels include, but are not limited to:

  • Cold-calling of any kind

  • Mass mailings

  • Leaving obscene, crude, or violent posts

  • False or misleading content

  • ´Fishing´, spamming, scamming, or hacking, and

  • Harassing or stalking other members.

 

Privacy protection - Respect other members’ privacy and protect your own. Don't share private or identifying information in public areas of the site. This includes but is not limited to such as details of transactions, personal contact details, or presenting the verbatim contents of private correspondence.

 

Do not use community spaces to discuss interactions with Our representatives, or to share verbatim extracts of such conversations (i.e. DMs, live chats, emails or messages, etc.). Most messages between you and https://www.windberge.com/ are considered private correspondence and we ask that you respect this confidentiality.

 

Be honest and transparent about your person. - Don't use a fake identity.

 

Don't publish or post threats of violence or promote or encourage others to engage in violence or illegal activity.

 

Don't engage in illegal activity or activity that infringes someone's intellectual property, or encourage others to engage in that type of activity.

2. Community Ranks and Badges

Registered members have the opportunity to earn ranks and badges for participation in our community spaces and programs. Community ranks and badges are determined by several factors, including but not limited to:

  • How much you’ve read in the Community Space

  • How many posts you’ve written

  • How often members find your posts helpful

 

All in all, your progress will depend on how active and helpful you are in our community. However, if you brake our rules you can as a first step lose your badges and then your membership. Any activity that violates our Community Policy makes you ineligible towards advancing in Community Rank. https://www.windberge.com/ reserves the right to add, modify or remove ranks.

 

Ranks you can earn include:

  • Devoted fellow/ Enthusiast: you´ve been an active member (read and post a lot) for at least one year.

  • Explorer: you´ve been an active member of our community for at least two years.

  • Inspirer: You're an inspiration to others! You are very active, have been helping to build our community and have been a member of our Community for at least three years.

  • Pearl: you were a very active member, served as a source of inspiration in our community and contributed to expanding the community (min. 30 new members) for at least four years.

  • Emerald: you were a very active member and served as a source of inspiration in our community and contributed to expanding the community (min. 50 new members) for at least five years.

Consequences:
We will take action when we see someone violating these guidelines. Sometimes that just means giving someone warning, other times it means revoking certain privileges or accounts entirely. We request that all community members report behavior that violates our guidelines to wgertrud@gmail.com.

 

Agreement:

By logging onto the community and activating your profile, you are considered to be in agreement with the terms and conditions listed above.
